Tactics Teacher for Maintenance and Transport Department, Logistics School

Göta Transport Regiment T 2 is in an exciting growth phase and is now looking for a tactics teacher for the Maintenance and Transport Department, Logistics School in Skövde.

About the Logistics School and Maintenance and Transport Department

The Maintenance and Transport Department is responsible for contributing to the Logistics School's course offerings. The department conducts professional and position courses within logistics management, supply provision, transport services, and hazardous goods. The department holds functional representation with shared responsibility for development, education, and training for parts of logistics within the army. The department is an expert organization that provides guidance, advice, and support to other parts of the Army regarding logistics and hazardous materials.

Main Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities as a tactics teacher will be to serve as a teacher or course leader for courses aimed at future company commanders, functional leaders, and staff members within logistics. You will also support the execution and training during field exercises and unit exercises in the role of teacher or unit instructor. You may be called upon to develop manuals and instructions. Within your role, you will be a key player in the development of tactical education and the school's course offerings within logistics.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Professional officer, OF 2/3 or SO 7/8
  • Experience in unit operations at battalion and company level
  • Driving license B (manual transmission)
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to express yourself in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Experience working with the Office suite and digital tools

The position places high demands on a sense of responsibility and clear leadership qualities in the teaching role. You have a strong desire to develop and contribute to the development of others within your area of responsibility. You work independently with high drive and have a positive view of people that translates into a supportive approach towards the organization and colleagues.

As a tactics teacher, you are a good role model and act in accordance with the Armed Forces' core values. You have an open and constructive approach to change and a good ability to collaborate and build trusting relationships with new people.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience as a company commander, quartermaster, or position as a logistician in staff (battalion equivalent).
  • Experience in logistics maneuver battalion/company.
  • Post-secondary academic education.
  • Experience working in a multinational context.
  • Experience in adult education.

Other Information

Employment form: Military position, permanent employment. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not already employed by the authority.

Employment rate: Full-time.

Work location: Skövde.

Start date: As soon as possible or by agreement.

Travel and exercises in service may occur.

Logistics is a collective term for supply provision, technical service, transport service, and defense medicine.
